Questions
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Speech is converted to text by a model that runs on your phone. Only the text is sent over an encrypted connection so it can be translated and summarized. Audio is never uploaded.
Which languages does BolNote understand?
Voice notes in Urdu (including mixed Urdu and English), Hindi, Punjabi and English. Urdu and Punjabi can also be shown in Roman Urdu. Translations are available in English, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic.
How do I use it with WhatsApp?
Long-press a voice note in WhatsApp, tap Share and choose BolNote. BolNote opens and starts right away.
Why does the app download a model the first time?
The speech model is what lets BolNote convert audio on your phone instead of uploading it. It is downloaded once (about 57 MB, or about 181 MB for the high-accuracy model) and then works offline.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. BolNote is coming to Android first.
How do I cancel Pro?
Pro is a Google Play subscription. Open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BolNote. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I delete my data?
Delete single notes, your whole history or your account in Settings. You can also request deletion without the app.
